It contains an area of 6,528 km². According to the 2002 census, it has a population of 320,000. The administrative center of Peyzawat County is a village of the same name. ==History== Peyziwat County was established in July 1902. 〔(Peyziwat County ). Kashgar Government.〕 In 1981 there was a brief pro-independence rebellion in the county staged by Uyghur activists. In 1997 there were a series of deadly earthquakes in the county.
